Saxofonista
Músico do Porto, nascido em 1984.Iniciou a sua prática no Instituto Orff do Porto, onde estudou com o saxofonista Mário Santos.
Continuou mais tarde no Conservatório do Porto estudando flauta de bisel com Pedro Sousa e Silva.Fez parte da banda do Porto Insert Coin (Fnac novos talentos)Licenciou-se na ESMAE em 2006. Em 2009 conclui o Master’s of Music na Manhattan School of Music, NY, como bolseiro Fulbright.
Tem vindo a tocar e a gravar com diferentes projectos e músicos portugueses e estrangeiros dos quais se destacam os Insert Coin, a Orquestra de Jazz de Matosinhos e o trio Hitchpop e também André Fernandes, Afonso Pais, Paula Sousa Quarteto, Miguel Ângelo Quarteto, Manel Cruz, Gustavo Costa, João Pais Filipe, Ohad Talmor, European Radio Jazz Orchestra, Steven Delannoye, Allan Mednard, Travis Reuter, Simon Jermyn, Peter Schlamb, Ryan J Lee, Hermon Mehari, Jacob Sacks, Sebastien Ammann, Thomas Morgan.
Musician from Porto, born in 1984. He began his practice at the Orff Institute of Porto, where he studied with saxophonist Mário Santos.
He then continued at the Porto Conservatory studying recorder with Pedro Sousa e Silva.
He was part of the Porto band Insert Coin (Fnac new talents). He graduated from ESMAE in 2006. In 2009 he completed his Master’s of Music at the Manhattan School of Music, NY, as a Fulbright scholarship holder.
He has played and recorded with different Portuguese and foreign projects and musicians, including Insert Coin, the Matosinhos Jazz Orchestra and the Hitchpop trio, as well as André Fernandes, Afonso Pais, Paula Sousa Quartet, Miguel Ângelo Quartet, Manel Cruz, Gustavo Costa, João Pais Filipe, Ohad Talmor, European Radio Jazz Orchestra, Steven Delannoye, Allan Mednard, Travis Reuter, Simon Jermyn, Peter Schlamb, Ryan J Lee, Hermon Mehari, Jacob Sacks, Sebastien Am mann, Thomas Morgan.
