Música e artista visual
Margarida Garcia é uma música e artista visual sediada em Lisboa. Trabalha em torno de ligações entre som, vídeo e desenho e usa o contrabaixo como o seu instrumento principal.
Estudou na Parsons School of Design, da New School University em Nova Iorque. Nessa altura, interessava-se muito pelo trabalho de Max Neuhaus e Robert Smithson, bem como pelos filmes e sons de Tony Conrad e Michael Snow. Colaborou ao vivo e em gravações com Manuel Mota, Nöel Akchoté e Barry Weisblat, entre outros.
Margarida Garcia is a musician and visual artist based in Lisbon. She works around connections between sound, video and drawing and uses the double bass as her main instrument.
Garcia studied at the Parsons School of Design at the New School University in New York. At the time, he was very interested in the work of Max Neuhaus and Robert Smithson, as well as the films and sounds of Tony Conrad and Michael Snow. He collaborated live and on recordings with Manuel Mota, Nöel Akchoté and Barry Weisblat, among others.
