Natural de Chaves, Portugal, Dária Salgado é uma designer, artista e professora universitária com uma sólida formação acadêmica. Iniciou os seus estudos na Escola Superior Artística do Porto, onde concluiu o Curso Superior de Desenho. Prosseguiu a sua educação na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto, especializando-se em Design de Comunicação - Artes Gráficas, e obteve o título de Mestre em Design da Imagem entre 2006 e 2008.
Doutorada em Arte Contemporânea pelo Colégio das Artes da Universidade de Coimbra, ela é uma investigadora integrada no Centro de Estudos Arnaldo Araújo, no Grupo de Investigação Arte e Estudos Críticos. Além disso, é membro da Associação dos Investigadores da Imagem em Movimento (AIM), evidenciando o seu engajamento na pesquisa e na comunidade acadêmica.
Ao longo da sua carreira, ela desenvolveu projetos nas áreas do desenho, fotografia e vídeo, demonstrando a sua versatilidade artística. A sua participação em festivais de curtas-metragens, espetáculos, exposições e conferências, tanto a nível nacional quanto internacional, destaca o seu impacto no cenário artístico contemporâneo. Dentre os eventos notáveis, estão o Space Festival, Galeria Extéril, Galeria Dínamo, MiraGalerias, entre outros.
Born in Chaves, Portugal, Dária Salgado is a designer, artist and university lecturer with a solid academic background. She began her studies at the Escola Superior Artística do Porto, where she completed a degree in Drawing. She continued her education at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, specialising in Communication Design - Graphic Arts, and obtained a Master's degree in Image Design between 2006 and 2008.
With a PhD in Contemporary Art from the College of Arts at the University of Coimbra, she is a researcher at the Arnaldo Araújo Study Centre, in the Art and Critical Studies Research Group. She is also a member of the Association of Moving Image Researchers (AIM), demonstrating her commitment to research and the academic community.
Throughout her career, she has developed projects in the areas of drawing, photography and video, demonstrating her artistic versatility. Her participation in short film festivals, shows, exhibitions and conferences, both nationally and internationally, highlights her impact on the contemporary art scene. Notable events include the Space Festival, Galeria Extéril, Galeria Dínamo, MiraGalerias, among others.
